Chapter 140

Psm 140:1 〔大衛的詩、交與伶長。〕耶和華阿、求你拯救我脫離凶惡的人、保護我脫離強暴的人。

Psm 140:1 Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;

Psm 140:2 他們心中圖謀奸惡、常常聚集要爭戰。

Psm 140:2 Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.

Psm 140:3 他們使舌頭尖利如蛇．嘴裏有虺蛇的毒氣。〔細拉〕

Psm 140:3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.

Psm 140:4 耶和華阿、求你拯救我、脫離惡人的手、保護我、脫離強暴的人．他們圖謀推我跌倒。

Psm 140:4 Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.

Psm 140:5 驕傲人為我暗設網羅和繩索．他們在路旁鋪下網、設下圈套。〔細拉〕

Psm 140:5 The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.

Psm 140:6 我曾對耶和華說、你是我的 神．耶和華阿、求你留心聽我懇求的聲音。

Psm 140:6 I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.

Psm 140:7 主耶和華、我救恩的力量阿、在爭戰的日子、你遮蔽了我的頭。

Psm 140:7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

Psm 140:8 耶和華阿、求你不要遂惡人的心願．不要成就他們的計謀、恐怕他們自高。〔細拉〕

Psm 140:8 Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.

Psm 140:9 至於那些昂首圍困我的人、願他們嘴唇的奸惡、陷害〔原文作遮蔽〕自己。

Psm 140:9 As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

Psm 140:10 願火炭落在他們身上．願他們被丟在火中、拋在深坑裏、不能再起來。

Psm 140:10 Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.

Psm 140:11 說惡言的人、在地上必堅立不住．禍患必獵取強暴的人、將他打倒。

Psm 140:11 Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

Psm 140:12 我知道耶和華必為困苦人伸冤、必為窮乏人辨屈。

Psm 140:12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.

Psm 140:13 義人必要稱讚你的名．正直人必住在你面前。

Psm 140:13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
