Jhn 4:1 主知道法利賽人聽見他收門徒施洗比約翰還多、
Jhn 4:1 When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
Jhn 4:2 （其實不是耶穌親自施洗、乃是他的門徒施洗)
Jhn 4:2 (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)
Jhn 4:3 他就離了猶太、又往加利利去．
Jhn 4:3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
Jhn 4:4 必須經過撒瑪利亞。
Jhn 4:4 And he must needs go through Samaria.
Jhn 4:5 於是到了撒瑪利亞的一座城、名叫敘加、靠近雅各給他兒子約瑟的那塊地。
Jhn 4:5 Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
Jhn 4:6 在那裏有雅各井。耶穌因走路困乏、就坐在井旁．那時約有午正。
Jhn 4:6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
Jhn 4:7 有一個撒瑪利亞的婦人來打水．耶穌對他說、請你給我水喝。
Jhn 4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
Jhn 4:8 那時門徒進城買食物去了。
Jhn 4:8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
Jhn 4:9 撒瑪利亞的婦人對他說、你既是猶太人、怎麼向我一個撒瑪利亞婦人要水喝呢。原來猶太人和撒瑪利亞人沒有來往。
Jhn 4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
Jhn 4:10 耶穌回答說、你若知道 神的恩賜、和對你說給我水喝的是誰、你必早求他、他也必早給了你活水。
Jhn 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
Jhn 4:11 婦人說、先生沒有打水的器具、井又深、你從那裏得活水呢。
Jhn 4:11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
Jhn 4:12 我們的祖宗雅各、將這井留給我們．他自己和兒子並牲畜、也都喝這井裏的水、難道你比他還大麼。
Jhn 4:12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
Jhn 4:13 耶穌回答說、凡喝這水的、還要再渴．
Jhn 4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
Jhn 4:14 人若喝我所賜的水就永遠不渴．我所賜的水、要在他裏頭成為泉源、直湧到永生。
Jhn 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
Jhn 4:15 婦人說、先生、請把這水賜給我、叫我不渴、也不用來這麼遠打水。
Jhn 4:15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
Jhn 4:16 耶穌說、你去叫你丈夫也到這裏來。
Jhn 4:16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
Jhn 4:17 婦人說、我沒有丈夫。耶穌說、你說沒有丈夫、是不錯的．
Jhn 4:17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
Jhn 4:18 你已經有五個丈夫．你現在有的、並不是你的丈夫．你這話是真的．
Jhn 4:18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
Jhn 4:19 婦人說、先生、我看出你是先知。
Jhn 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
Jhn 4:20 我們的祖宗在這山上禮拜．你們倒說、應當禮拜的地方是在耶路撒冷。
Jhn 4:20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
Jhn 4:21 耶穌說、婦人、你當信我、時候將到、你們拜父、也不在這山上、也不在耶路撒冷。
Jhn 4:21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
Jhn 4:22 你們所拜的、你們不知道．我們所拜的、我們知道．因為救恩是從猶太人出來的。
Jhn 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
Jhn 4:23 時候將到、如今就是了、那真正拜父的、要用心靈和誠實拜他、因為父要這樣的人拜他。
Jhn 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
Jhn 4:24 神是個靈．〔或無個字〕所以拜他的、必須用心靈和誠實拜他。
Jhn 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Jhn 4:25 婦人說、我知道彌賽亞、（就是那稱為基督的)要來．他來了、必將一切的事都告訴我們。
Jhn 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
Jhn 4:26 耶穌說、這和你說話的就是他。
Jhn 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
Jhn 4:27 當下門徒回來、就希奇耶穌和一個婦人說話．只是沒有人說、你是要甚麼．或說、你為甚麼和他說話。
Jhn 4:27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?
Jhn 4:28 那婦人就留下水罐子、往城裏去、對眾人說、
Jhn 4:28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,
Jhn 4:29 你們來看、有一個人將我素來所行的一切事、都給我說出來了、莫非這就是基督麼。
Jhn 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?
Jhn 4:30 眾人就出城往耶穌那裏去。
Jhn 4:30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
Jhn 4:31 這其間、門徒對耶穌說、拉比、請吃。
Jhn 4:31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
Jhn 4:32 耶穌說、我有食物吃、是你們不知道的。
Jhn 4:32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
Jhn 4:33 門徒就彼此對問說、莫非有人拿甚麼給他吃麼。
Jhn 4:33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?
Jhn 4:34 耶穌說、我的食物就是遵行差我來者的旨意、作成他的工。
Jhn 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
Jhn 4:35 你們豈不說、到收割的時候、還有四個月麼．我告訴你們、舉目向田觀看、莊稼已經熟了、〔原文作發白〕可以收割了。
Jhn 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
Jhn 4:36 收割的人得工價、積蓄五穀到永生．叫撒種的和收割的一同快樂。
Jhn 4:36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
Jhn 4:37 俗語說、那人撒種、這人收割、這話可見是真的。
Jhn 4:37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
Jhn 4:38 我差你們去收你們所沒有勞苦的．別人勞苦、你們享受他們所勞苦的。
Jhn 4:38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
Jhn 4:39 那城裏有好些撒瑪利亞人信了耶穌、因為那婦人作見證說、他將我素來所行的一切事、都給我說出來了．
Jhn 4:39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
Jhn 4:40 於是撒瑪利亞人來見耶穌、求他在他們那裏住下．他便在那裏住了兩天。
Jhn 4:40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.
Jhn 4:41 因耶穌的話、信的人就更多了．
Jhn 4:41 And many more believed because of his own word;
Jhn 4:42 便對婦人說、現在我們信、不是因為你的話、是我們親自聽見了、知道這真是救世主。
Jhn 4:42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
Jhn 4:43 過了那兩天、耶穌離了那地方、往加利利去。
Jhn 4:43 Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.
Jhn 4:44 因為耶穌自己作過見證說、先知在本地是沒有人尊敬的。
Jhn 4:44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.
Jhn 4:45 到了加利利、加利利人既然看見他在耶路撒冷過節所行的一切事、就接待他．因為他們也是上去過節。
Jhn 4:45 Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.
Jhn 4:46 耶穌又到了加利利的迦拿、就是他從前變水為酒的地方．有一個大臣、他的兒子在迦百農患病。
Jhn 4:46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
Jhn 4:47 他聽見耶穌從猶太到了加利利、就來見他、求他下去醫治他的兒子．因為他兒子快要死了。
Jhn 4:47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.
Jhn 4:48 耶穌就對他說、若不看見神蹟奇事、你們總是不信。
Jhn 4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
Jhn 4:49 那大臣說、先生、求你趁著我的孩子還沒有死、就下去。
Jhn 4:49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.
Jhn 4:50 耶穌對他說、回去吧．你的兒子活了。那人信耶穌所說的話、就回去了。
Jhn 4:50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.
Jhn 4:51 正下去的時候、他的僕人迎見他、說他的兒子活了。
Jhn 4:51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.
Jhn 4:52 他就問甚麼時候見好的。他們說、昨日未時熱就退了。
Jhn 4:52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
Jhn 4:53 他便知道這正是耶穌對他說你兒子活了的時候、他自己和全家就都信了。
Jhn 4:53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.
Jhn 4:54 這是耶穌在加利利行的第二件神蹟、是他從猶太回去以後行的。
Jhn 4:54 This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.
